Donations

To start things off, we get to combine two of my favorite things: Woodworking and Greyhounds. The group that we adopted our three greyhounds: Elliott, Major, and Coralie from, Greyhound Angels Adoption,  is having their first annual 5k run/walk as well as their annual adopters picnic this weekend. We always try to send them a few donations, particularly since we moved out of state. I had a bunch of maple lying around, so I decided to make a variety of things to send this time:

I ended up making a few basic “Magic” wine bottle holders, two bone shaped coat/leash holders, a wine bottle caddy (more on that later), and two greyhound head shaped wine bottle holders.

The greyhound heads were a lot of fun, and I think they make a pretty unique decoration. Both are made out of maple, one I left natural, or “fawn” and the other I stained dark or “brindle” colored. Here they are in a bit more detail:

Hello!

Welcome! You’ve probably already seen my home page, so you know what this site is all about, more or less. This is the obligatory “Hello World!” post to introduce the blog and make it look like I have more content available than I really do. Eventually, I may put something of substance here, but probably not. 😉
